Our Identity in Christ – His Ambassadors

Christ’s Ambassadors

As believers of Christ we are His representatives on earth. As we have received the good news (Gospel) – message of reconciliation to God and His favor, we ought to testify of His goodness everywhere we go.

The acronym:
G – God gave His
O – nly Begotten
S – on, whosoever believe on Him will not
P – erish but will have
E – verlasting
L – ife

It was on that cross, Jesus Christ paid the price in full for our sins and sicknesses – without the shedding of blood there is no remission for sins. His resurrection is our hope and validation for our faith. He triumphs over the devil, stripping him of all the authority he boasted about – for at the name of Jesus, every knee shall bow of things in heaven, on earth and under the earth and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of the Father.
Salvation is free and all you have to do is to receive this gift. We are saved by the grace of God not by our works, nor by our righteousness. We lived by faith.

As Ambassadors, we are representatives of the kingdom of God, building good rapport with people and sharing the good news to all who crosses our pathways and imploring them to be reconciled to God.

As the Father has sent Me (Jesus), I also send you. John 20:21b

Romans 10:15
“And how shall they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring glad tidings of good things!”

As such, we are given the authority and privileges in His name to carry out what we ought to do. Just as Christ came to destroy the works of the devil, we are given the same mandate and promise –

We have the authority to tread on serpents and scorpions (symbols of the devil and his demons) and over ALL the power of the enemy and nothing shall by any means hurt us. (Luke 10:19)

However we need to be aware of the devil’s tactics and conniving ways to deceive us or throw us off guard. God has given us divine weapons to fend against the devil’s onslaught.

As Christ’s Ambassadors its so essential to stay connected to the power source (God) daily and to live an exemplary life dependence on the Holy Spirit for His directions pertaining to our role here on earth.

  1. HI Maria, I have never before seen that acronym for GOSPEL done with John 3:16. Thanks for sharing that. And I so agree about staying connected to His power every single day. It’s like our food is needed daily, so our spiritual food is also needed daily to nourish us. blessings, Amy
