On September 1st 2014, at a Thanksgiving Dinner, we were privileged to hear Dr Benny Prasad gave a beautiful rendition of songs on his special guitar.  Little did we realise he has an amazing story to tell.  He used to suffered from severe asthma and took too much cortisone steroids which led him to developed rheumatoid arthritis.  As a result of this 60% of his lungs were damaged and his life is threaten since his immune system is weak.  By the grace of God he is still alive and is able to travel to so many countries sharing his music and about the God who saved and enables him to do the impossible.

After hearing him played I decided to get his music cd to remind me that God is great and He can do amazing things.  Dr Benny found hope in God.

How did he managed to travel to so many countries?  God provided him what he needed.  As this year ends his world tour, God has another assignment awaiting him – reaching out to the youths who are suicidal and to open a cafe.  His question to God – how can this be – it cost USD700,000/- and the amazing thing is –  funds are pouring in.

This reminds me of the passage in Jeremiah 29:11 – For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. (NKJV)

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for Dr Benny’s testimony. Though he is physically ‘fragile’ yet he is strong because of You.  Guide his coming in and going out.  You have given him hope when all seems hopeless.  You have given him a special gift in playing many musical instruments and may the music he plays brings comfort to the depressed, abandoned and lost in this world.  What You have started in his life be brought to a glorious conclusion in praise of You, Lord.  All glory and praise to the Almighty God. In Jesus name, Amen.
